Bitcoin surged above $84,000, reaching its highest point since January, primarily due to initial oversold conditions and a short squeeze. Recently, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s decision on September 17 to grant a five-year temporary "innovation exemption" provided a regulatory tailwind, allowing eligible trading platforms to leverage automated market makers and blockchain liquidity pools to facilitate secondary market trading of tokenized U.S. stocks. This exemption is expected to significantly benefit Ethereum. Other tokens such as ETH, XRP, SOL, UNI, and NEAR also recorded gains ranging from 40% to 150%. Analysts at FxPro believe a bull market has begun but advise investors to remain cautious given the potential for pullbacks.
