Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his delegation arrived in New York for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where he is scheduled to address the 193-member assembly on Wednesday. Pezeshkian stated that Iran will raise grievances about the United States' 'war on Iran' and seek ways to resolve it, warning that renewed use of force by Iran's foes would be counterproductive. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived earlier, emphasized defending the rights and interests of the Iranian people. The delegation will stay for five days, with the US denying visas to Pezeshkian's media team and imposing movement restrictions on delegates. US President Donald Trump is considering a new major military assault on Iran and is set to meet with GCC leaders to discuss the conflict, while also stating he would 'probably be open' to meeting Pezeshkian.
