South Korean brokerage KB Securities, tokenization platform Securitize, and blockchain project Optimism have signed an exploratory Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance tokenization in Korea. Optimism's X post identifies a tokenized bond as the first product, while its blog mentions two tokenized funds. Korea's first phase of regulatory oversight for tokenization is set to begin in February 2027.
