Wael Naouar, a Gaza solidarity activist detained in Tunisia for protesting, has been on a hunger strike for 39 days and hospitalized. Bassem Trifi, head of the Tunisian Human Rights League, stated on Wednesday that Naouar's health is "very critical and on the verge of death." Naouar demands that authorities drop financial misconduct charges against him and three other activists, who were arrested in March and accused of misusing funds raised for the global Sumud fleet, which aims to challenge Israel's blockade of Gaza.
