Bitget CEO Gracy Chen: After the FTX Incident, I Don't Believe Major Exchanges Will Commingle User Funds Again
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated on September 24 that the collapse of FTX was a painful lesson for the entire industry, and she does not believe that major exchanges today would intentionally commingle customer funds. She noted that Bitget has a publicly verifiable protection fund of approximately $460 million, as well as over $1 billion in Bitget's own assets, which are managed separately from customer funds. She also stated that user assets are backed by 1:1 reserves, which can be verified through proof-of-reserves and Merkle tree data.
