US President Donald Trump described his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping during Xi's state visit to Washington, DC, as "very productive." The two nations are set to continue discussions on artificial intelligence (AI) and technology transfer licensing. US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer stated that another meeting on AI is planned within the next month between representatives of both countries. Greer also clarified that current talks did not cover the sale of high-quality US-made chips requiring licenses, which he referred to as "the crown jewels of American technology."
