Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated on Sunday that his envisioned Ethereum network for 2030 will combine blockchain, cryptographic proofs, and off-chain computer networks to significantly enhance processing power and users' ability to independently verify transactions. This vision aims to achieve cheaper, scalable, and private high-security computing by distributing computational tasks and utilizing mathematical proofs, allowing different computers to handle different workloads while maintaining network integrity. Buterin expects next year's Hegotá upgrade to be Ethereum's last "regular" fork, with subsequent upgrades relying more on cryptographic proofs and quantum-resistant security technologies.
