Ethiopian military commander Birhanu Jula on Sunday accused Sudan and Egypt of supporting Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) militants, after fierce clashes between the TPLF and the Ethiopian federal government reignited last Wednesday. The Sudanese military subsequently denied the accusations, calling them "baseless," and counter-accused elements within Ethiopia of supporting Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF), including providing training, supplies, and drone military activities. A spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Guterres stated that the Secretary-General was "particularly disturbed" by reports of drone use and harm to civilians.
