The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) announced on Monday its plan to double its annual financing to approximately US$20 billion by 2030. AIIB President Zou Jiayi stated this target at the opening of the bank’s 11th annual meeting in Doha, Qatar, noting that member economies have expressed a consistent need for greater project funding as the Beijing-headquartered multilateral lender enters its second decade.
