Voice AI startup Modulate has completed a $25 million funding round to develop voice models and analytics suites capable of detecting deepfakes, fraud, and scams.
The Boston-based startup's funding round was led by Future Ventures, with participation from Hyperplane and Lakestar. Founded in 2017, Modulate initially focused on voice modulation for gaming before shifting to voice content moderation. It now primarily develops voice models for detecting AI audio generation and analyzing user intent, with clients including call centers.
