According to Sina Tech, ByteDance's Doubao is accelerating the launch of personal assistant products, planning to deeply integrate its internal exploratory project codenamed "Spell" with existing Doubao products, with an expected rapid external release. The project is led by the Doubao Mobile Assistant team and began internal testing in April this year, aiming to benchmark against overseas personal assistant products such as Meta's Muse and OpenAI's "o". Meanwhile, Doubao officially released "Doubao Work," an Agent product for enterprise office scenarios, on August 25. It can autonomously break down tasks, invoke tools, handle complex workflows, and supports various content generation and editing. The PC version is now available for download with a 30-day free subscription. This move signifies Doubao's expansion from the enterprise sector to the broader consumer personal assistant market, attempting to establish more comprehensive product coverage in the AI assistant race.
