Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 118 points, or 0.5%, to 24,523 on Tuesday, with the tech index down 1.1% and Shein Global Holdings shares falling to their lowest level since its September 1 debut. Meanwhile, mainland China stocks closed slightly up, with the Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.18% and the Shenzhen Component Index up 0.34%, after the State Council pledged to step up counter-cyclical policy support and stabilize the property market. Vanke shares rose 10%. Combined turnover on China's Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges was 1.41 trillion yuan, the lowest since July 7, 2025.
