Rep. James Comer expands House investigation into prediction market insider trading, seeking info from Hyperliquid Labs, Crypto.com and PredictIt owner
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., announced an expanded investigation into insider trading on prediction markets. He requested documents and information from the CEOs of Hyperliquid Labs, Crypto.com and Aristotle Exchange Inc., which owns the platform PredictIt, regarding their identity verification procedures and how they prevent insider trading. Comer stated that some bad actors have exploited these platforms using nonpublic information, citing a substantial leveraged short position on Hyperliquid minutes before a presidential tariff policy announcement in October 2025 that was not publicly known.
