Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday issued an open letter directly calling on the American people to "wake up" and reclaim control from "corrupt politicians," accusing the Trump administration of misleading Americans on issues of war, Iran's nuclear program, and control of the Strait of Hormuz. IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi stated that the American people might not understand the "dangers" of the Trump administration's actions, and if they did, they would "pressure the government." This move comes five weeks before the US midterm elections and as the US-Israel war against Iran enters its seventh month.
