OpenAI unveiled a persistent AI agent named Dots at its Developer Day event on Tuesday. This product can proactively handle work tasks for users and supports interaction via ChatGPT, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Concurrently, the company introduced a premium subscription tier priced at $500 per month, which is five times the cost of competitor Muse's advanced version at $100 per month. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that users can set the access permissions for the agent themselves. Meta's stock price briefly fell after OpenAI's Dots announcement before reversing course to close up 3.24%.
