DFI Retail Sells Maxim's Group Stake, Gains $340M Cash and Control of Starbucks Business
DFI Retail Group has agreed to sell its stake in Maxim's Caterers to Maxim's for $340 million in cash and gain control of Maxim's Starbucks franchise business across more than 1,100 stores in Asia, according to exchange filings on Wednesday. The move ends Jardine Matheson's decades-long partial ownership of Maxim's through DFI Retail.
