According to the latest disclosed 2025 financial report, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick earned at least $250 million in income and other gains last year, with most of it coming from the financial businesses he left before joining the Donald Trump administration. The largest single amount was a $192 million dividend from global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald. Lutnick also disclosed $4.2 million in salary and bonuses from commercial real estate services firm Newmark, and $14.1 million in salary and bonuses from BGC Group. As part of an asset divestiture, Lutnick sold at least $259 million in assets last year and purchased at least $166 million in assets, primarily investing in U.S. Treasury bonds and broad-market funds.
