Reddit to end RSS feeds and public API access due to AI bots
Reddit announced it will cease support for RSS feeds on November 13 and end public API access by March 2027. The company cited “large-scale scraping and automated abuse” by AI bots as the reason for tightening access to its user-generated content, aiming to protect its data for commercial AI licensing deals.
