Starting today, Austrian Bitcoin platform 21bitcoin will pay 1.21% annual interest on customers' uninvested euro balances, allowing them to collect it in Bitcoin with no conversion fee. The company claims to be the first provider in Europe to offer savings interest directly in Bitcoin, with no minimum deposit or lock-up period. Customer euros are held in a segregated trust account at German bank Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte eG, which holds a stake in 21bitcoin.
