Hong Kong ranks 7th globally in attracting next-gen wealthy, trailing Singapore
A Savills study released on Thursday, the "Next-Generation Wealth Hubs Index," found Hong Kong ranked seventh globally as a destination for attracting and retaining high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) under 40, behind Singapore in sixth place. New York topped the global rankings, followed by Miami and London. In Asia-Pacific, Tokyo ranked third, with Shanghai and Bangkok following. Hong Kong is home to 71 HNWIs under 40 with net assets of at least US$5 million, ranking 12th globally and first in Asia-Pacific, while Singapore ranked 13th with 70 individuals. The study highlighted that younger wealth holders prioritize lifestyle, education, wellness, and personal values when choosing where to live and invest.
