Japanese automotive parts supplier Niterra has canceled its planned acquisition of domestic rival Denso's spark plug and exhaust gas sensor businesses. The decision was made at Denso's request due to changes in the market. Had the acquisition gone through, Niterra, the manufacturer of NGK spark plugs, would have controlled over half of the global market.
