PewDiePie claims OpenAI banned his account twice while he was building a decentralized AI model called Ajax.
YouTuber PewDiePie stated that OpenAI banned his account twice while he was building Ajax, a small, uncensored AI model designed to run on users' personal computers and browse the web for them. PewDiePie claimed he was banned because OpenAI's terms prohibit using its output to develop competing models. Ajax is based on Alibaba's open-source Qwen 3.5 model with 9 billion parameters and has not yet been released. PewDiePie hopes to obtain inference tokens by distilling OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol model and use the open-source tool Heretic to make his model uncensored.
