Negotiations for a trade deal between the United States and India have stalled, making an agreement difficult to reach, according to senior officials from both countries. Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated on Monday that the talks have "reached a plateau," making further compromise challenging. This follows comments from U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer last Friday, who said the trade deal was in its final stages but not "imminent."
