Suzuki Motor Corporation launched its new electric mini-vehicle, the e-Sky, in Japan on October 6, priced at 2.12 million yen (approximately $13,400), making it cheaper than the BYD Racco and the most affordable model in its class. However, Nikkei Asia pointed out that Suzuki's move also exposed a common vulnerability among Japanese automakers: their reliance on Chinese batteries.
