The U.S. trade deficit widened to $105.6 billion in August, exceeding market expectations of $102 billion and higher than the revised $92.8 billion in July. Imports increased by 4.3% to $420.75 billion, while exports rose by 1.4% to $315.18 billion. The goods trade deficit reached $136.57 billion, while the services trade surplus was $31 billion.
