XRP Ledger Overtakes Ethereum as Leader in Tokenizing Commodities, Capturing $2.2B in Year-to-Date Inflows
According to joint data from Token Terminal and RWA Foundation for October 2026, XRP Ledger (XRPL) has surpassed Ethereum in the growth of tokenized commodity market capitalization. Since the start of the year, XRPL recorded net capital inflows of $2.2 billion, while Ethereum attracted $1.6 billion. This shift is primarily driven by XRPL's architecture, which allows for real-world asset tokenization at the protocol level with low transaction costs and fast settlement, notably boosted by Latin American company Justoken's launch of tokenized electricity-generation contracts (JMWH).
