Developers have freely released 5.6 billion TikTok video metadata entries on Hugging Face, including TikTok Shop product IDs.
A developer named "hashfunction" has freely released metadata for approximately 5.6 billion public TikTok videos on the open-source AI repository Hugging Face. This data was scraped via TikTok's private API, violating TikTok's terms of service. The dataset includes video titles, tags, sound effect IDs, on-screen text, and TikTok Shop product and seller IDs, spanning from July 2014 to October 2026, totaling 460GB. The dataset is also available as a "storefront" for commercial use, offering commercial licenses and daily updates, with the source code for the data scraping tool sold separately. TikTok's official data access is more restricted, available only to researchers at academic institutions and non-profit organizations.
