Ripple's stablecoin treasury has minted 30 million Ripple USD (RLUSD) in a single transaction, adding to a recent series of larger RLUSD issuances. As of Oct. 7, the market cap of RLUSD is estimated at around $2.53 billion. The treasury regularly sees minting and burning of RLUSD, as institutional customers deposit fiat to obtain RLUSD and tokens are burned when fiat is returned. For example, on Sept. 21, the RLUSD Treasury minted 40.5 million RLUSD in total, and on Sept. 22, another 19 million RLUSD was minted. On Sept. 22, approximately 29.85 million RLUSD was burned.
