Microsoft announced the launch of its AI agent product, Microsoft Scout, at the concurrently held Build developer conference. Scout is positioned as an "always-on personal agent" and falls under Microsoft's newly established "Autopilots" agent category, capable of autonomously performing tasks without requiring a prompt each time. Deeply integrated into the Microsoft 365 application ecosystem, Scout can access Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint to automatically handle tasks such as schedule coordination, meeting conflict resolution, and email drafting. Currently, Scout is in private preview for a limited customer base.
