South Korea's current account surplus reached $46.1 billion in August, the second-highest on record, driven by strong exports, the Bank of Korea announced on Thursday. This figure represents a $4 billion increase from the previous month and a $36.2 billion increase from August 2025. The all-time high was $49.73 billion in June of this year.
