Skydance co-CEO interviewed by CNBC after completing acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery
Skydance co-CEOs David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz were interviewed by CNBC on Thursday, following the official completion of Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). The combined company will include Paramount and Warner Bros. film studios, the CBS broadcast network, a portfolio of pay-TV channels such as CNN, TNT, MTV, and BET, as well as the Paramount+ and HBO Max streaming services. As part of a settlement with state attorneys general regarding antitrust concerns, Skydance has agreed to release at least 30 films annually in 2027 and 2028, and at least 32 films annually in 2028, 2030, and 2031. Ellison also plans to merge the Paramount+ and HBO Max streaming services.
