Zach Yadegari, co-founder of the calorie tracking app Cal AI, has launched Persona, a new AI agent startup, and secured $10 million in funding. The round was led by Vine Ventures, with participation from Z Fellows founder Cory Levy and Collective Global. Persona aims to compete with existing AI agents like Instinct and Meta's Muse, featuring a $179 wearable band that is expected to be available in December. Yadegari previously sold Cal AI to MyFitnessPal for an undisclosed sum after it achieved over $30 million in annual revenue.
