CoinDesk Research Report: Digital Assets Show Strong Performance in Q3 2026, Bitcoin Rises 42.7% to $83,554, Outperforming Stocks and Gold
According to CoinDesk's latest Quarterly Review and Outlook report, digital assets staged a strong rebound in Q3 2026, ending three consecutive quarters of losses and recording their best performance of the year. The CoinDesk 20 Index (CD20) rose 52.7%, while Bitcoin increased by 42.7% to $83,554. In comparison, the S&P 500 Index gained only 2.03%, the Nasdaq Index rose 0.85%, and gold was up 3.84%. The report attributed this recovery primarily to easing geopolitical pressures, improved liquidity, and a return of institutional capital, with Bitcoin spot ETFs seeing net inflows of $6.36 billion in Q3, an $11 billion swing from the prior quarter.
