Oracle is trucking compressed natural gas (CNG) to power its AI data centers, a strategy to avoid pipeline infrastructure delays and keep its construction and operational timelines on track, Bloomberg reported. This unconventional approach has been implemented in Utah and Texas, with consideration for a key project in New Mexico. Energy analytics firms estimate that trucked CNG costs approximately four times the price of natural gas from major pipeline hubs and faces scalability limitations. Oracle's stock closed down 5.5% on Thursday at $135.69, marking its largest single-day drop since July 16. Fuel cell partner Bloom Energy also saw its shares plummet over 6% on the same day.
