Islamic Relief: Israel causes Gaza casualties every 90 mins since ceasefire
The aid group Islamic Relief reported that Israeli attacks have killed or wounded a Palestinian in Gaza every 90 minutes on average since the ceasefire was announced in October last year. The UK-based charity stated on Thursday that at least 1,454 Palestinians were killed and over 5,000 wounded in the past year, including 320 children. Gaza’s Health Ministry reported similar figures, adding that four were killed and 28 wounded in the past 24 hours. Islamic Relief urged world leaders to increase pressure to protect civilians and uphold international law, noting that Israel continues to block shelter materials, fuel, and medical supplies.
