Ukrainian forces have recaptured 175 square kilometers of land around Lyman in a counteroffensive codenamed "Operation Vivaldi," forcing Russian troops to retreat in the eastern Donetsk region and abandon several previously well-controlled settlements. Russian military blog Rybar reported that Russian forces are losing villages south of Lyman and are being forced to defend previously occupied positions.
