Ethereum's fee burns offset just 2% of new ETH issuance in 2026
According to an Oct. 9 supply ledger, Ethereum's transaction fees burned 16,524.553 ETH, while gross issuance reached 796,623.377 ETH. After accounting for all destruction, including validator penalties, the network's net supply increased by approximately 778,413 ETH, representing a 0.64% rise from the start of the year.
