US Lifts Sanctions on Daughter of Myanmar Military-Linked Businessman
The U.S. Treasury Department removed Theint Win Htet from its sanctions list on Friday, following a lawsuit she filed and reports that the Trump administration had restarted negotiations with the Myanmar government. The human rights organization Justice For Myanmar condemned the decision, stating that the Myanmar military is escalating its attacks on civilians.
