The Ledger-related wallet theft incident continues to escalate, with the latest analysis showing losses have expanded to $92.9 million, affecting 311 wallets across five major networks: Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Chain, and Polygon. Ledger is investigating and has requested the involved reseller, CryptoBilis, to suspend sales and shipments, while also advising affected users to take precautionary measures. Ledger emphasized that there is currently no evidence of its core infrastructure being compromised.

On-chain tracking shows that Tether has frozen approximately $10 million in USDT linked to the theft. Additionally, about 14,810 ETH and 203.8 BTC remain in the attacker-controlled wallets. Some ETH has been moved through Tornado Cash and Zcash, appearing in new wallets holding 2.1 million USDC. Binance founder CZ believes this could be a supply chain attack involving counterfeit or tampered devices. Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès also shared photos of a Ledger Nano X device he received from Malaysia, showing a hidden electronic module inside.
