Seres and CATL signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement to deepen their "factory-in-factory" and overseas market collaboration.
Seres Group and CATL signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement in Chongqing on October 10. The two parties will accelerate the construction of the second phase of their "factory-in-a-factory" project, which has a planned annual production capacity of 10-12 GWh. Upon completion, the total annual production capacity of both phases will exceed 20 GWh. In addition, the two parties will collaborate on supercharging networks and battery services, and jointly explore markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. The AITO brand will continue to exclusively feature CATL batteries across all its models for the long term, while Seres' AIVA brand will adopt a battery swap model in the future. CATL will assist in promoting AIVA's battery swap and overseas businesses. CATL holds approximately 9.89% of AIVA through its subsidiary, Wentop Investment.
