US President Donald Trump stated that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to an "energy ceasefire" in their conflict, effective immediately. Neither Kyiv nor Moscow has yet commented on this assertion. Trump has been urging Ukraine to cease strikes on Russian oil infrastructure to facilitate a recently struck deal to release diesel to the US and global market. Earlier on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he would halt strikes if Russia ceased targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
