Autonomous AI software is now generating the main commercial flow on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), outspending human retail users via the new X402 standard. According to t54.ai data, daily settlements on XRPL reached over 600,000 transactions in late September and early October, with peaks up to 700,000. Developers are increasingly using XRP tokens and the RLUSD stablecoin for microtransactions, as traditional banks cannot support the required speed. The t54 Labs project, which provides a "Trust Layer" for AI agents, recently closed a $5 million seed round with participation from Ripple and Franklin Templeton, and has been included in Mastercard's Start Path accelerator program.
