The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) plans to launch Bitcoin trading in December and has initiated testing.
Russia's largest exchange, Moscow Exchange, plans to allow clients to trade cryptocurrencies in December and began testing with professional market participants last week. The plan was launched after Russia's Digital Currency and Digital Rights Law came into effect in September, establishing comprehensive rules for cryptocurrencies in the country. Boris Blokhin, Senior Managing Director for Sales and Business Development at the exchange, stated that the exchange will collaborate with partner digital custodians to launch trading without additional licenses, making Bitcoin and crypto assets available for investment to its 40.1 million clients.
