The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced that the Upper Tribunal has confirmed it will hear legal challenges against its motor finance redress scheme from February 16 to 26, 2027. The scheme is currently partially paused, but the FCA urges firms to continue preparing for it and to progress complaint handling where possible. The scheme is being challenged by three lenders, including Volkswagen Financial Services, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, and Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, as well as by Consumer Voice. The FCA stated it will robustly defend its redress scheme.
