Bank of Japan (BOJ) officials believe there is no need for a consecutive rate hike in October, as upside risks to inflation have not significantly intensified, Bloomberg reported, citing sources. Officials will assess whether another rate hike is necessary in December based on the latest economic data. However, the sources emphasized that the central bank has not made a final decision and does not rule out the possibility of policy adjustments at this month's meeting. Market pricing indicates that traders expect a roughly 10% probability of a BOJ rate hike this month, while the probability of a hike by December has risen to 88%.
