Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announced it is taking action against parties suspected of rigging initial public offerings, in a scheme involving over $590 million in client assets. This marks the largest such case in the SFC's history. The watchdog has also suspended trading in ChaPanda shares, signaling tighter scrutiny of the financial hub's IPO market. ChaPanda, operated by Sichuan Baicha Baidao, listed on the Hong Kong market in April 2024.
