Wu Blockchain data shows that in September 2026, the total spot trading volume of 14 major cryptocurrency exchanges reached $696.7 billion, a 36.5% increase from $510.4 billion in August. All 14 exchanges saw month-over-month growth in trading volume.
Binance topped the list with $307.8 billion (44.2% market share), followed by OKX with $65.8 billion (9.5%) and Coinbase with $61.3 billion (8.8%). The trading volume of the top three exchanges accounted for 62.4% of the total, down from 64.8% in August.
