Mitsui Fudosan aims for Japan's first commercial next-gen geothermal power site
Property developer Mitsui Fudosan and its partners are working to achieve Japan's first commercial deployment of a next-generation closed-loop geothermal system, which injects water from the surface for underground heating. This technology can be introduced in areas where conventional geothermal projects have not been feasible. A demonstration well has been drilled in Kagoshima prefecture.
