SK Group is reportedly considering forming a consortium with other South Korean companies to make a multi-billion dollar strategic investment in Westinghouse Electric, a U.S. nuclear power giant. Potential consortium members include Samsung C&T, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and Doosan Enerbility. This move follows an agreement between Seoul and Washington, which stipulates that up to $120 billion of South Korea's $200 billion investment fund will be allocated to building eight large nuclear power plants.
