Bitcoin network hashrate has stabilized after a significant correction in 2026, according to crypto market researcher Zach Pandl. The metric had surged above 1.1 Zettahashes/second (ZH/s) in late 2025 before a sharp decline in 2026. According to Blockchain.com data, Bitcoin hashrate reached approximately 1.075 ZH/s on October 13, up from 1.003 ZH/s the previous day, but still below levels seen a year ago. The primary reason for the decline in hashrate is the deterioration of mining profitability, including falling Bitcoin prices, high mining difficulty, limited transaction fee revenue, and rising electricity costs, which have made it difficult for many miners to cover operational expenses.
